Eve River Bridge Scour & Bank Erosion Protection

Project Info:

An in-stream project that involved the placement of over 10,000 m3 of rip rap developed from a nearby quarry that was established specifically for this undertaking.  With the help of a full time Qualified Environmental Professional, riverbed gravels were progressively removed and shaped to allow the installation of 8 rip rap spurs upstream of the bridge and a grade control structure downstream.  The presence of summer-run Coho accelerated the fisheries window for the in-stream works at the project site, stretching the completion of this project over the summers of 2016 & 2017.
